How Job Points Work for Employers
Job points are a unique feature of our platform designed to help you identify the most motivated and interested candidates for your job postings. Here’s what you need to know:
What are Job Points?
Job points are a currency that talent (aka job seekers) can use when applying for positions. Each applicant starts with a daily limit of free applications (5 for verified users, 15 for vetted users) and can earn additional points through various activities on our platform, like referring verified users, etc.
Talent can’t apply to more jobs than their daily limit, but when they do apply… they can use extra job points. This prioritizes their position to you, the employer, when reading applications

How Do Job Points Affect Your Job Listings?
Candidates who use job points for their applications are automatically sorted to the top of your applicant list. The more points a candidate uses, the more interested they likely are in the position.
It’s quite rare when someone uses job points because they don’t just automatically regenerate. If someone is using even a single one, it shows quite a bit of interest. I wouldn’t take it lightly.
Reading the Job Points Column
In your applicant list, you’ll see a “Job Points” column. Here’s how to interpret it:
- 0 Points: The candidate applied using their daily free application. They still manually applied, and they clearly wanted to apply to your job over others but didn’t add any job points.
- 1+ Points: The candidate used additional job points, indicating higher interest.
Best Practices
- Pay special attention to applications with higher job points used.
- Don’t overlook candidates with 0 points – they still used a daily application to apply to your job! They are quite serious!
- (Obviously) Only use job points as one factor among many when evaluating candidates.
