We’re looking for a senior-level Lifecycle Marketing & Retention Manager to take full ownership of our email and SMS ecosystem and help scale one of Australia’s fastest-growing eCommerce brands.
This is not a campaign-execution rol, it’s a strategic, hands-on position where you’ll design, build, and optimise the full lifecycle engine that drives retention, revenue, and loyalty across our entire business.

End-to-End Lifecycle Strategy: Lead the full email and SMS strategy across Klaviyo and MessageMedia, from audience growth and segmentation to automation and campaign orchestration.
Daily Sends & Campaign Optimisation: Own all email and SMS sends — testing timing, messaging, subject lines, offers, and creative angles, while continuously improving performance and engagement.
Segmentation & Personalisation: Build sophisticated segmentation frameworks (VIP, high-value, lapsed, bulk buyers, behavioural triggers) to shift campaigns from “blast everyone” to hyper-targeted and site-gated.
Flow Design & Automation: Audit, optimise, and expand automated flows — from welcome and abandonment to post-purchase and win-back — with data-driven testing and clear revenue attribution.
Data, Testing & Analytics: Implement a robust experimentation framework (UTMs, holdouts, offer types, send times) and build reporting dashboards to track key metrics like CTR, CVR, AOV, ROI, list growth, and fatigue.
Cross-Channel Integration: Collaborate with paid media and creative teams to align lifecycle campaigns with broader marketing activity, maximising impact across channels.
Scalable Documentation & SOPs: Establish processes, documentation, and best practices to scale lifecycle efforts efficiently across the team.
Klaviyo: advanced flows, segmentation, branching logic, suppression
Shopify Liquid: promo gating by tags, UTMs, sessions
MessageMedia (or similar): dispatch logic and audience control
Attribution & Analytics Tools: GA4, Triple Whale (or similar) for attribution modelling, cohort reports, and holdout testing
Fatigue Logic & Engagement Decay: how to balance send frequency and reactivation
Lifecycle Strategy: aligning flows and campaigns with seasonal calendars and audience lifecycles
You have proven experience building full lifecycle and retention systems from the ground up — not just running campaigns.
You are deeply analytical and obsessed with testing, segmentation, and continuous improvement.
You understand how to balance revenue goals with long-term retention and know how to build scalable systems that reduce discount dependency.
You’re proactive, highly accountable, and comfortable working directly with founders and senior leadership.
You thrive in fast-moving eCommerce environments and want to build systems that scale globally.
Have worked with fashion, homewares, or accessories brands
Understand retail + B2B lifecycle strategies
Have experience in Australian, UK, or US markets
