We’re looking for someone to assist us with web design, implement SEO strategies, support content writing efforts, help with backlinking tasks, and perform general admin/support tasks. You’ll receive direct training and work semi-independently (Time zone will overlap for a short time, will connect via Google Meet as needed).

Basic Job Description:

• Time Off: 1 week paid time off (sick & vacation) after 6-months
• Paid Holiday: 13 paid holidays
• Compensation: $5.55/hr CAD for the first 30 days, pay will increase after performance review
• 40hrs/week, flexible schedule
• 13th Month Pay: Provided after December 31st (prorated based on hire date in the first year)
• Annual Raise: Based on performance

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design modern local business websites using the Breakdance page builder—either from scratch, using templates, or modifying templates to align with company branding and style
• Implement design change requests
• Build fillable and step forms
• Utilize global styles, blocks, and templates for efficient design and updating
• Ensure websites are mobile responsive, cleanly coded (no div-ception), and optimized for speed
• Optimize images (type, size, dimensions, and load behavior)
• Hyperlink key contact details: email, phone, address, and booking links
• Apply custom CSS, style using CSS selectors, and manage custom stylesheets
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of HTML and CSS
• Style pages using page builder animations and hover effects
• Navigate the WordPress backend: update plugins, publish posts/pages, update themes, and create menus

Secondary Support (instructions will be provided):

• Assist in creating logos, custom icons, infographics, and other graphic design tasks
• Support copywriting and content creation efforts
• Help with on-page SEO tasks
• Contribute to backlinking efforts
• Assist with lead generation tasks
• Provide general administrative and support assistance

Skills Considered An Asset:

• Graphic design
• Advanced/Fluent English (written & spoken)
• SEO experience (on-page/off-page)
• Experience building links
