I am hiring a part-time contractor to review, proofread, and lightly edit drafted product listing forms for women’s clothing inside Vendoo (a cross-listing web app used to publish listings to multiple marketplaces). This role starts with quality control and editing. After a successful first 30 days, there may be an option to also publish the listings.
This is a detail-sensitive role that blends strong English skills with women’s fashion familiarity.
Primary responsibility (start upon hiring):
Review the drafted Vendoo listing forms and correct issues before saving them as drafts
Proofread and lightly edit item titles, descriptions, item specifics, and other form fields
Catch and fix occasional AI-related formatting errors (examples: leftover symbols, odd spacing, code-like fragments, spelling mistakes)
Potential responsibility after a successful first 30 days:
Publish listings (often the same items you reviewed) by clicking publish once the draft is correct
You should be able to:
Look at photos and tell what the item is (example: blouse vs button-down, jacket dress vs coat, maxi vs A-line dress)
Understand and recognize common women’s fashion styles and trend terms (example: cottagecore, dark academia, whimsy goth)
Pull key details from the draft and confirm they match the photos (example: department, category, size, length)
Troubleshoot unknowns quickly using common-sense methods, including:
Screenshotting an item image from the form and using Google Image Search when needed to confirm style/type
Vendoo (web app; form-based workflow)
Google Chrome (required for the Vendoo extension)
Notion (our hub for tasks, tracking, goals, and documentation)
LastPass (Chrome extension for me to securely share certain credentials)
Email access (you will need an email address you can use for occasional forwaded emails of authentication, since some tools may send verification codes)
First 30 days
Demonstrate reliable proficiency in English proofreading and women’s fashion familiarity
Show strong deduction skills from descriptions and photos to correctly complete/confirm form details
Meet production expectations:
Minimum target: 8 to 10 forms per hour
Goal target: 12 to 15 forms per hour
By 60 days
Maintain quality and speed consistency
If the first 30 days go well, you may begin publishing a portion of the listings you review
By 90 days
Consistently meet expectations for quality, speed, and reliability
Potential to expand into additional tasks and increased hours, including possible work related to the automation that generates the drafts (not part of the initial job, but may become an opportunity later)
Preferred experience
At least 1 year of data entry and/or proofreading experience (professional or clearly demonstrated personal work)
Strong fit if you are
Detail-oriented and consistent
Comfortable working in web apps and browser extensions
Familiar with women’s clothing and fashion terminology.
Able to troubleshoot independently using the provided SOPs, tools, and Google
Average workload starts at 5 to 7 hours per week, but may vary week to week
Schedule is flexible across time zones. The CEO is located in CST in the USA
I will communicate the expected workload at the start of each week and flag urgency in advance when needed
Turnaround expectation is generally 1 to 2 business days
Example: If I draft 35 forms on Monday, I may expect steady daily progress based on your hours and forms-per-hour rate
Weekend work is not expected. If it's needed, I will request it ahead of time
Pay is issued every two weeks
I would like to hire and begin onboarding in mid-January 2026
Ideal start date: January 12, 2026 or January 19, 2026
The goal is to have a solid candidate selected by January 24, 2026
