We’re hiring 3 Web Research & Data Collection Specialists to help us conduct structured research on global merchant websites. You’ll manually navigate live checkout pages, capture screenshots, and record standardized data about payment methods, currencies, and checkout setups.
This is an urgent contract position with eligibility for full-time conversion depending on company needs and performance. You’ll work closely with internal research and data operations teams, following a clearly defined workflow and using standardized Excel templates.
Key Responsibilities
Visit assigned merchant websites and simulate the full checkout process
Capture full-page screenshots (web and mobile views) of checkout flows
Record structured payment data (methods, currencies, installment options, promotions)
Identify payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Ebanx, PayPal) used on checkout pages
Maintain organized, complete, and accurate entries in Excel/Google Sheets
Use a VPN to access geo-restricted sites and collect data from multiple regions
When checkout pages are blocked, extract payment data from Terms of Service or Help Center pages
Ensure file naming, URLs, and notes follow the instructions
Requirements
Excellent attention to detail, this role is accuracy-focused
Comfortable navigating websites, identifying UI elements, and following consistent steps
Strong written English and ability to write clear, concise notes
Reliable internet connection and computer
Familiarity with Google Sheets/Excel, VPN tools, and browser extensions
Experience in data entry, web research, or eCommerce operations is preferred
Bonus Skills
Prior experience in payment research, web scraping, or data QA
Basic understanding of online checkout systems or payment gateways
